We made a decision in the morning that “L” day would be a lazy day. The kids got home late Sunday night after a weekend at Grandma’s and they were tired. They had to get up early for swimming lessons but they didn’t really seem to have too much energy otherwise. We figured it was a perfect lazy day.
After swimming lessons we went to the video store to pick up a movie. We were looking for the Lion King but apparently someone never returned the movie. So, we got Leave it to Beaver instead.
When we got home we took out our Lincoln Logs and Little People and just played on the living room floor while watching movies.

After a wonderful, lazy day we decided to make a truly perfect “L” day dinner. We made lasagna and herbed dinner rolls (Miss Jennifer’s amazing recipe). Karin also helped me make limeade. For dessert we ate strawberry licorice. Okay, so it wasn’t the best combination of foods but it was an all around “L” meal.
We extended “L” day to Tuesday and went to the library. Tuesday is the day the kids help me deliver library books to people who are unable to get to the library themselves. Before checking for deliveries I let the kids play for a while in the children’s section.

We also checked for “L” books. We found: Little People On The Farm, Lions, and Lionel Bakes a Cake.
